During summer period in Thailand, one of the best menu here is “Khaw-Share” (ข้าวแช่) this menu should have received Three Michelin Stars. Khan-Share is so completed by its super incredible taste, art of cooking and supreme royal history. I strongly recommend to both Thais who have never tried or experienced the best of royal Thai food as well as foreigners who want to learn how amazing the real Thai food is. Search how to cook this menu and you will appreciate everything about this menu.!!

The place gets packed with local lunch time crowd so we went before 11:30am. The food tasted great, place was clean, and felt very local. Definitely would return to try out other dishes.

Visited becoz of Michelin’s recommendation.. and restaurant is only steps from the main entrance of Okura Hotel in Chit Lom.. I visited on a weekday and restaurant was not packed… server was nice and friendly.. she gave good advice on what to order.. Overall it’s a good experience and great value for money..

We didn’t get there early enough to order the special dishes for the day which was a bummer and mistake on our part, but the dishes we were able to try were great Thai food. But I think we would have been more amazed with this restaurant had we been able to try all of the specials. For context, each day of the week they have 5-6 specials in addition to the set menu. Below are the dishes we tried: 1. Crunchy Pork salad - average, I wasn’t super impressed with the crunchy pork and the salad was simple. 2. Rice crackers with pock coconut sauce - I fell in love with this dish. The coconut sauce was rich but not overwhelming in flavor and the rice crackers completed the coconut flavor well. 3. Omelette - somewhat underwhelming and simple. 4. Green curry - above average, the chicken was tender. 5. Spring rolls - mini, which was cute. 6. Shrimp Salad - above average 7. Crispy Noodles with chicken - not very good as far as crispy noodles go. 8. Banana with coconut sauce for dessert - I quite enjoyed this and would get it again. I didn’t expect to enjoy the banana as much as I did. The service was great and the restaurant was accommodating to anyone who needed to stay past the “closing time”.

Tried first time with group of friends and really enjoyed it so far. They did not have any fancy menu but rather Thai dishes and taste is a real Thai and delicious. We ordered many menus including fish, tom yum, spicy beef sald, fried veggies, deep fried fish ball. The restaurant is a local family run so don't expect high service level but overall is satisfied for me. Food came fast. They do have take home menu as well with reasonable price.

In a city like Bangkok where the food is extremely next level delicious pretty much anywhere you go, Sanguan Sri still stands out. My favorite meal I’ve ever had in the city. Super local place and just bomb food. Good price. Just go. And get the coconut ice cream with warm banana.

They have specials for everyday of the week.. we try coconut curry and the green curry, the last one was amazing.. it comes with rice. Also you have to try the fried rice with Chinese olives, it’s definitely the best fried rice that I have tried in Bangkok. The service is fast, the staff smiling. We went on Tuesday at the lunch without queues. Affordable place, probably the cheapest bid gourmand (Michelin ) that we tried. Prices starts from 50 to 150 baths

The fried mackerel with fish paste sauce (see photo) was delicious. The sauce was very tangy and flavorful. Not for people who don't like a very flavorful, tangy unique sauce. The eggs in brown sauce (see photo) I don't remember too well. The texture of the eggs was a bit hard, which was interesting. There seemed to be meat in the dish as well. This dish wasn't outstanding. I wasn't impressed with the fried fish paste balls (see photo). They did have an herb inside which made them interesting (couldn't identify which one) and I liked that, but the fish paste balls were sort of bland and not very tasty - they just tasted sort of fried. I didn't like the lychee juice. It had way too much sugar for me. I prefer juices or smoothies without sugar. I imagine their other juices have sugar too, so I won't order them in the future.
